About the event

When one child in a family has a disability or additional support needs, siblings have their own unique experiences, questions, feelings and needs.

Join Dr. Zara Waldman, a trained SibShop facilitator and sibling of a person with a disability, for an honest and supportive conversation designed especially for parents. Zara will share insight from both her personal experience and her work with siblings, helping parents better understand the sibling perspective and the importance of creating spaces where siblings can connect, have fun and feel understood.

Parents will also learn about SibShops—a nationally recognized program that provides siblings of children with disabilities an opportunity to meet other kids who “get it,” build connections, share experiences and, most importantly, have fun.

Come learn, ask questions and discover how we can support every child in the family.
